The Greenwich Science Center (GSC) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit charitable organization whose mission is to provide exceptional educational opportunities to elementary, junior, and high school students in the areas of science and mathematics.
The MISSION of the Greenwich Science Center is to promote scientific literacy throughout the greater Greenwich area. At the GSC, we believe that in cultivating scientific literacy we are helping to improve both the intellectual and material well-beingof Greenwich area students, because science is a choice-worthy pursuit in its own right as well as a door to material success.
Although the GSC is based in Greenwich, CT, it is committed to promoting scientific literacy throughout the tri-state area, aiming to serve school districts throughout Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. The GSC is strategically located at the intersection of these three states.
The GSC provides exceptional educational opportunities by building upon the current offerings of the existing school curricula and by working closely with other nonprofit organizations (both public and private) to provide programs and services that would not otherwise be possible under the typical resource constraints of public and private school systems. These partnerships afford students the opportunity to experience science and mathematics in ways that are both fun-filled and intellectually rewarding.
With a focus on interactive and state-of-the-art technology, the GSC works to cultivate multiple opportunities with the aim of achieving its mission. Example include:
