Grants & Programs
Scholarships
Young people seeking to continue their education in a science and/or technology related field are encouraged to apply for a scholarship through The Greenwich Science Center’s Scholarship program. A listing of scholarships for 2009 follow, with information and documentation for applying.
A list of GSC Funded Programs in the past 6 months:
- 2 guest speakers
- 7 college scholarships (totaling $12,500)
- 12 science research awards
- Reasearch equipment and supplies for independent science projects
- Laser safety training course for HS teacher
- Computers and color printer
- Student bus transportation to the State Math and Science Bowl
- Student bus transportation to the CT Experiment Station (field trip)
A list of GSC Programs planned for the future:
- Extended field trips (Kennedy Space Center trip planned for July 2008)
- Day-long field trips for the middle schools
- Software packages (virtual science experiments)
- Science experiment packages for the middle schools
- Continuing education funding for teachers
